The Department of Statistics was established in 1988. It offers undergraduate courses in Statistics with three combinations: Statistics with Computer Science, Statistics with Computer Applications, and Statistics with Physics and Mathematics
The department's research laboratory was recognized by SGBAU in 2003 for Ph.D. research, accommodating up to five research scholars. Faculty members are actively engaged in research, publishing papers, and undertaking various projects.
In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the department is committed to a multidisciplinary and skill-based learning approach.
