Department of Microbiology

Department of Microbiology was established in 1981. Microbiology is being offered at UG level in two combinations with Botany and Zoology with intake capacity of 50 students. The research laboratory of the department has been recognized by SGBAU in 2001 for Ph. D. work with capacity of ten research scholars. The department has continued to promote and upgrade the knowledge of students, researchers and teachers and completed 36 years of its fruitful existence in 2017. Later on in 2006 the UGC has given permission to start Career Oriented Course in Microbiology Laboratory Techniques at certificate, Diploma and Advanced diploma level.
