Departmental Information – History and Introduction

The department of Mathematics was established in 1958. In the beginning the department had limited number of students with staff of 03.The Research program was initiated from the session 2000-2001.

Prof Sonone, Shri. Agrawal, Prof Kishor Adhau, Shri. Babasaheb Thakare, Prof Vidya Gaikwad, Shri U.M.Patil and Dr V.M.Raut have taken efforts to develop the department and result of this is the numbers of students in the department are about 600.

Till the date 04 students obtained their M.Phil.degree and 01 student obtained PhD degree from the department. Many students got gold medal and merit certificate in degree examination of SGBAU, Amravati. Currently 05 research scholar are working in the department with area of research Theory of Relativity. The alumni of the department are well placed in various institutions, Organizations.
