Activity Report:

Department of Chemistry organized Six days activity on the topic of ‘Title: Qualitative inorganic analysis Spot Test for Basic Radicals’for B.Sc. I Students (2024-25) from dated Wednesday 18th -30th September 2024 under the guidance of Dr. G.V. Korpe, Principal, Shri. Shivaji Science College, Amravati, Dr. A. S. Burghate, Head, Department of Chemistry, Dr. D.D. Khedkar, Coordinator, DBT Star Project Dr. P.R. Mandlik, PG Co-coordinator, Dr. A. B. Bodade , Dr. A. M. Mopari organizing Committee member. All the Respected faculty members of Department of Chemistry were present for this activity total 100 students of chemistry offering subject with the combination of microbiology, environmental science, biotechnology, physics, mathematics, botany and zoology participated in this activity, Objective:Spot Test Analysis aimed to identify basic radicals using spot tests. Students developed laboratory skills, observed chemical reactions, and understood the importance of identification and Identify basic radicals using spot tests,Design-Based Thinking Process:1. Empathize: Understand the importance of identifying basic radicals in chemistry,2. Define: Determine the objective and scope of the experiment,3. Ideate: Brainstorm spot test methods for each basic radical,4. Prototype: Prepare test solutions and reagents,5. Test: Conduct spot tests and observe results,Conclusion:The DBT activity achieved its objectives, demonstrating the effectiveness of spot tests in identifying basic radicals.Reflection:- Challenges faced: Maintaining accurate concentrations,Digital tools to enhance laboratory experience,Assessment:Student participation and engagement.Extension:Explore other spot test methods,Develop digital tools for laboratory
