REPORT
A three-day workshop on Mobile Repairing was organized by Department of Physics at Shri Shivaji Science College, Amravati from 6 April 2026 to 8 April 2026 in the Physics Laboratory for BSc II (MJ) year students. The Mobile Repairing Workshop was organized with the aim of imparting practical knowledge and technical skills related to mobile phone repairing. This workshop provided an excellent platform for students to learn both theoretical concepts and practical techniques involved in mobile servicing.
The Head of the Department Dr .P.A. Nagpure introduce the resource person Shri Harish V. Sahu ,Ideal Technical Institute, Amravati, an experienced trainer in the field of mobile repairing with strong practical knowledge of mobile hardware and software troubleshooting.
The first day of the workshop began with an introduction by Shri Harish V. Sahu, explaining the objectives and basics of mobile repairing. Participants learned about types of mobile phones and basic electronic components like resistors and capacitors. The structure of a mobile phone and its main parts were discussed. The session also included an introduction to the tools used in mobile repairing, such as multimeters, screwdrivers, and soldering irons. Safety precautions while handling electronic devices were also explained. The day concluded with a demonstration of opening and assembling a mobile phone.
The second day focused mainly on hardware aspects and practical training. The resource person explained common hardware faults and their causes. Participants learned to identify common faults in mobile phones. Training was given on replacing damaged components like screens and batteries. Basic soldering and de-soldering techniques were practiced. Students actively worked on mobile devices, learned how to use a multimeter for testing circuits, and gained confidence in handling repair tools. Hands-on practice helped in developing practical repairing skills.
The third day covered software-related issues and troubleshooting techniques. Participants learned about mobile operating systems and common software problems. Demonstrations of flashing, unlocking, and resetting mobile phones were given. Students gained practical exposure to software repair methods. An interactive session was conducted to clear doubts.
The Mobile Repairing Workshop conducted was highly informative, interactive, and beneficial for all participants. It successfully combined theoretical learning with practical training, enabling students to acquire valuable technical skills. Such workshops are essential for skill development and should be organized regularly to prepare students for real-world challenges.
