Activity Report:

Registration and Participation
Registration for the event commenced at 9.00am in the department, with breakfast and tea arrangements made simultaneously. Out of 81 students who had registered online,64 participants actually presented and demonstrated experiments in this 13th edition of this competition. Participants represented all levels B.Sc. I, II, III.
Inaugural Function –
The Inaugural ceremony was held at 10.00am in A.V. Theater of the college. Dr. Anant Wadatkar, Head of the Physics Department Vinayak Vidya Mandir, Sr. College, Nandgaon Peth Amravati, inaugurated the competition. Following the floral tribute to the late Founder President Dr. Bhausaheb alias Panjabrao Deshmukh, Dr. Wadatkar delivered an insightful inaugural address. He emphasized on taking part in a competition is far more valuable than winning a prize because the true prize is the knowledge you gain. Dr. P. A. Nagpure shared the dais and provided instruction to the participants. The event was efficiently conducted by Dr. R. G. Deshmukh.

Lunch Break and Continued Presentations
Lunch was served at 1.30pm, after which presentation and demonstration continued until 5.00pm.
Valedictory Function
After almost a whole day activity the competition concluded with valedictory function which was graced by Dr. Pritee Tawlare, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, Jagadamba Mahavidyalaya, Achalpur Dist. Amravati along with Mr. Shailendra S. Sandmare, Department of Physics, Bhartiya Mahavidyalaya, Amravati. In her address Dr. Pritee Tawlare congratulated students for there active participation in the competition. She urged students to participate in such competitions as they help in understanding the topics well. Dr Tawlare also shared tips for effective presentations and also suggested various online sources for creation of contents for presentations. During her address she also advised student about avoiding use of AI wherever it is not that much required. Dr. G. V. Korpe, Principal of Shri Shivaji Science College, Delivered the presidential address, at first, he Congratulated all the participants for showcasing creative models and demonstrating a deep understanding of physics principles, turning abstract concepts into tangible experiments. Dr. Korpe also appreciated the efforts taken by all staff members for successful organisation of the competition. He call on students for use of various facilities and instrumentation available in the institution.

• Second Prize: Ishant D. Khatri (Shri Shivaji Science College) Indian national SOLAR Calendar, more scientific than Gregorian calendar
• Consolation Prize: Mohammad Salik and Mayuresh V. Bhaskar (Jagadamba Mahavidyalaya Achalpur, Dist-Amaravati)

B.Sc. II Category
• First Prize: Tanishqua Bajirao Maske and Vaishnavi Kiran Behare (Shri Shivaji Science College)- To determine wavelength of laser light by plane diffraction grating

Organizing Team
The event was a success thanks to the collaborative efforts of the Physics Department faculty: Dr. Swapnil S. Arsad, Dr. V. V. Deshmukh, Dr. R. G. Korpe, Dr. P. P .Khirade, Dr.S.M.Butte, Dr.A.B.Bodade,Dr.P.A.Fartode,Dr.D.P.Rathod,Dr.R.G.Deshmukh,E.L.Thakare,S.M.Chinche,S.S.Korde.
The competition was an enriching and memorable experience for all participants, fostering a spirit of scientific inquiry and collaboration. Students deepened their grasp of fundamental and advanced physics concepts through hands-on demonstrations and presentations. Participants developed confidence in explaining complex scientific principles to an audience, improving their scientific communication skill. The event ignited curiosity and motivation among students to explore experimental physics beyond the curriculum. Students and teachers from different colleges established connections, fostering a collaborative learning environment across institutions. Talented students were identified, encouraged and rewarded, boosting their moral and inspiring them for future scientific pursuits. Overall It was great experience for students participated in the event. Designing and performing the experiments independently was a new experience for participants. This event helped students to develop the ability to explain complex physical phenomena. It helped to stimulate students to think outside the box, design unique setups, and explore beyond the standard curriculum. The competition helped students in understanding the importance of collaboration, team-based learning, sharing of responsibilities, discuss ideas, and work together on a common goal. It boosted student confidence, providing insights into practical scientific work, which helps inform future career decisions in research.
