Since 1981, the college had started organising educational and excursion tours for the students. In the same year, the college had also organised a grand 'Electronic Models Exhibition' for the school and college students of the region and had established 'Vigyan Manch' in the college to inculcate science culture among the students. It was an honour for the college to have 'Vigyan Manch' as the Amravati District Center of the State Institute of Science Education of the state of Maharashtra.
The 'Four Day Science Exhibition for School Children organised by the college in 2004 had received a huge response from schools and colleges all over the region. Since then, the college is known for the propagation of science awareness and inculcation of scientific temper among the society. As a part of this mission, the college, in the recent years, organised Activity-based Teachers' Training Programmes in collaboration with Homi Bhabha Center for Science Education, Mumbai and Asian Association for Biology Education, Mumbai for three years-
2016, 2017, and 2019. Similarly, DST sponsored National-level INSPIRE Camps were organised by the college in the years- 2018 and 2019. To add more, the college organised the District-level 'Avishkar Festival' which is Govt. of Maharashtra's Hon'ble Governor's special festival for innovative and research activities for students.
Taking into consideration the continuous and innovative activities of the college to promote and inculcate science and the scientific temper among the school and college students of the region, Our parent society has established Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Science and Innovation Activity Center in this college campus with the assistance of Rajiv Gandhi Science and Technology Commission, Govt. of Maharashtra. This centre was inaugurated by the renowned scientist of India Resp. Dr. Anil Kakodkar on 27 December 2019.
The entire responsibility of the management and propagation and the efficacious conduction of the various activities to be organized by this centre is shouldered by this college. The centre allows young & curious kids of rural areas & second-tier cities to use its facility/workshop as an open and free laboratory to explore their crazy ideas and under the guidance of trained teachers experiment on it to make a new discovery. The college has formed a special committee of our dedicated teachers for this. We hope this Science and Innovation Activity Center will be a Landmark for the propagation and inculcation of science and scientific temper among the people in the region.
