The Department of Chemistry has organized Five Day Training Course on “Instrumental Techniques and their Practical Applications for Students” from 20/12/2019 to 24/12/2019. Dr Shrikant A. Wadhal, Associate Professor, Department of Chemistry took initiative as a course co-ordinator to effectively carry out the sessions of this course. In this course total 33 students from different colleges participated for five days. Mr. Amol Gawande from Peaks Analytical and Research Centre, Nagpur provided the students with hands on training regarding some latest instruments like HPLC, Gas Chromatography, IR, FTIR, UV- VIS used in laboratories. This course proved to be very useful for students to get employment in various industries and Chemical laboratories and also to start their own enterprise. This certificate course definitely enhanced the student’s skill in instrumental techniques in chemistry. This course was successfully organized by the Department of Chemistry.
The course was inaugurated by Prof. G. N. Chaudhari, Head , Department of Chemistry the Chief Guest of the function. Mr. Amol Gawande, Scientist, Peaks Analytical and Research Centre, Nagpur, was guest of honor. All faculty members and participants were present in the inaugural function. Prof. G. N. Chaudhari motivated the participants. Mr. Amol Gawande discussed about his seventeen years working experience in various Industries.
